Effects of Dietary Supplemented with Fermented Rapeseed on Digestive Tract Microflora and Immune Status of Rabbits
To determine the effects of different levels of fermented rapeseed feed on the immune status of rabbits and the microbial populations in different sections of the digestive tract.Forty healthy and similarly weighted 35-day-old weaned rabbits were selected and randomly assigned to four groups, with 10 rabbits per group(5 females and 5 males).Animals were housed in pairs, with five replicates per group. The four groups were labeled as A(con-trol group),B(4%fermented rapeseed supplementation),C(8%fermented rapeseed supplementation),and D(12%fermented rapeseed supplementation). Results indicated significant differences(P<0.05)in the quantity of mesophilic aerobic bacteria in the jejunum between groups A and B.Significant differences(P<0.05)were ob-served in the quantity of Escherichia coli in the jejunum between groups A and D,as well as in the colon between groups A and B,C,and D.Moreover, the serum IgG content in group A was significantly higher than that in groups C and D(P<0.05).In conclusion, fermented rapeseed feed,by providing bioactive substances, enhances the de-velopment of the immune system and helps prevent disruptions in intestinal microbial balance in rabbits.
