Objective To compare the efficacies of 12 prediction formulas for mycophenolic acid exposure established based on limited sampling strategies in prediction of mycophenolic acid exposure among the renal transplantation patients in the hospital. Methods A total of 20 renal transplantation patients who were treated with oral administration of mycophenolate mofetil were enrolled in the study, and the whole blood samples were collected at different time points. The plasma mycophenolic acid(MPA)concentrations were detected by two-dimensional liquid chromatography. The pharmacokinetic parameters of mycophenolic acid were calculated by WinNonlin software. The AUC0-12 h of mycophenolic acid was predicted by the 12 prediction formulas, and the correlation coefficient R2 between the predicted value and the measured value was calculated, the average relative prediction error of predicted AUC0-12h and the proportion of AUC0-12 h were predicted. Results There was a significant correlation between the AUC0-12 h predicted by formula 8 and MPA-AUC0-12 h,R2 = 0.923;the absolute value of the average prediction error was the least(about 12.00),and the predicted AUC0-12 h occupied the highest proportion among the ideal prediction range(80%).Conclusion The prediction formula 8 shows remarkable effect on prediction of mycophenolic acid exposure among the renal transplantation patients in the hospital.
