Clinical efficacy of Weibao granule combined with Perficon in treatment of functional abdominal pain and its impact on anxiety and depression in children
Objective To explore the efficacy of Weibao granule combined with Perficon in the treatment of children with functional abdominal pain and its impact on anxiety and depression in children.Methods A total of 102 children with functional abdominal pain admitted to Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology,Hubei Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2019 to September 2023 were included and randomized into the observation group and control group,with 51 in each group.The children in the control group were treated with Perficon and those in the observation group were treated with Weibao granule combined with Perficon.The efficacy,time to resolution of symptoms,screen for child anxiety related emotional disorders(SCARED),depression self-rating scale for children(DSRSC)score,occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the 2 groups.Results The total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than that in the control(84.31%vs 96.08%,P<0.05).The time to disappearance of symptoms such as abdominal pain,loss of appetite,and pale complexion in the observation group were(7.86±1.96)d,(4.95±0.38)d and(3.89±0.47)d,respectively,which were significantly shorter than those in the control((10.45±1.15)d,(5.72±0.62)d,(5.10±0.38)d,P<0.05).After treatment,the SCARED and DSRSC scores in the observation group were(10.15±1.52)points and(9.45±1.07)points,respectively,which were remarkably lower than those in the control((17.49±2.95)points and(14.23±1.87)points,P<0.05).The occurring rate of adverse reaction was 3.92%in the observation group and 1.96%in the control,showing no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Weibao granule combined with Perficon has good clinical efficacy in treating functional abdominal pain in children because it can quickly promote the recovery of children,better improve the children's bad mood and its rate of adverse reaction is low.Therefore,it is safe and reliable.
