Individualized pharmaceutical monitoring practice of clinical pharmacists in treatment of complex abdominal infections caused by intestinal perforation in newborns with anti-infection therapy
A female infant was admitted to the hospital 2 days after the onset of full-term pregnancy due to"difficult breathing and bloating for 2 days after birth".The patient had abdominal fluid accumulation and the condition was critical,progressing rapidly;On the second day of admission,the patient underwent"intestinal adhesiolysis surgery+ileostomy+partial resection of the ileum",and was diagnosed with ileal perforation during the surgery.Ascites culture suggested infection with Enterococcus faecalis.The clinical pharmacist provided full pharmaceutical monitoring for the patient,and played a positive role in the formulation and adjustment of treatment plans such as anti-infection experience medication and target treatment,monitoring of vancomycin blood concentration,and dosage adjustment.The patient's infection was effectively controlled.She recovered well and was discharged.
