Study on effect of vitapex combined with parafirmaldehyoli composita paste in pulpitis in deciduous teeth
Objective To compare the Efficacy of Vitapex paste alone or in combination with parafirmaldehyoli composita paste for primary teeth pulpitis.Methods One hundred and twenty-one children with primary teeth pulpitis in Suining Central Hospital Stomatology Center between October 2021 and October 2023 were selected,and divided random number table method.Control group received Vitapex paste as root canal filling material after routine preparation,while study group was given Vitapex paste plus parafirmaldehyoli composita paste.Then the treatment efficacy,periodontal indexes and pain degree were compared.Results Study group reported a higher clinical efficacy rate(95.24%)than control group(82.76%),χ2=4.904,P<0.05.A reduction in sulcus bleeding index(SBI),gingival index(GI),probing depth(PD)and plaque index(PLI)was observed in both groups at 3 months after treatment,and the indicators in study group((1.38±0.47)points,(1.14±0.46)points,(4.18±0.47)mm and(1.26±0.16),respectively)improved better than those of control group((2.12±0.51)points,(1.73±0.43)points,(5.62±0.51)mm,and(1.87±0.17)points,respectively),the differences were statistically significant(t=8.306,7.272,16.164,20.333,all P<0.05).After treatment,study group scored lower on Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)at 1st week and 2nd weeks((2.31±0.540)and(0.78±0.27)points,respectively)compared to control group((3.28±0.61)and(1.23±0.35)points,respectively),t=9.277,7.954,both P<0.05.There was a statistically significant difference in VAS scores between the three comparisons of pre-treatment,1 week and 2 weeks post-treatment(P<0.001).Conclusion Application of Vitapex paste plus parafirmaldehyoli composita paste in the treatment of primary teeth pulpitis showed better efficacy and analgesic effect,improved the recovery of periodontal tissues,which is worth promoting in the clinic.
