In recent years,heart failure has become a huge burden of public health.Cardiopulmonary exercise testing(CPET)can provide detailed physiological changes and evaluate the effect of the treatment,thus help to improve the prognosis of heart failure patients.This paper summarizes the typical parameters and shows the safety of CPET in heart failure patients.It also reviews the current application of CPET in the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of heart failure,and provides the new ideas for further application of CPET in heart failure patients.
