Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of cardiovascular death in elderly people who aged 80 years and above.With the increasing aging of the population,the proportion of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease is growing rapidly.The risk of reperfusion therapy is high due to the age and their clinical characteristics.At present,there are limited clinical data on this population,and there is still a controversy about the decision of reperfusion therapy.This article will review the progresses of interventional therapy in patients with acute myocardial infarction aged 80 and above.
