Wtih a rapidly increase of aging population,early detection and diagnosis of common age-related complex diseases become more important.As such,this review aims to comprehensively summarize several gene loci testing projects that are commonly utilized in clinical settings for assessing high-risk thrombosis,stroke,dementia,and type 2 diabetes in elderly patients.Furthermore,we propose individualized medication plans and corresponding drug recommendations based upon diverse genotypes,taking clopidogrel aspirin,walfarin and metformin as examples.Ultimately,this article is helpful to provide references and tools to effectively screen,treat,and manage elderly patients with complex diseases.
