Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a common obstetric and gynecologic endocrine disorder characterized by hyperandrogenemia and insulin resistance,which increases the incidence of metabolic disorders during pregnancy,and is closely associated with adverse perinatal outcomes for both mothers and infants.This article reviews the diagnosis,pathophysiology,complications,and management of polycystic ovary syndrome during pregnancy.
