Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)is usually performed with the patient in the supine position.However,in certain circumstances,such as during surgery,a patient may experience cardiac arrest while in the prone position.With the popularity of prone position ventilation therapy,the demand for prone position CPR has gradually increased.Therefore,most resuscitation guidelines include prone CPR as an important part of their recommendations.However,most health care workers have little knowledge about prone position resuscitation and its related literature.Therefore,this review aims to fill the gap in current knowledge about prone CPR.Through literature search and analysis,the effectiveness,technical key points and clinical practice suggestions of prone position CPR were discussed.
