Propensity score matching analysis of TRPC3 gene polymorphism and endometrial polyps association
Objective Using propensity score matching method to analyze the correlation between TRPC3 gene polymorphism and endometrial polyps. Methods 60 patients with endometrial polyps admitted to Shijiazhuang Sixth Hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 60 healthy volunteers who underwent routine physical examination in the health clinic during the same period were selected as the control group. The propensity score matching method was used to match the two groups of patients, and the general clinical data and laboratory indicators of the two groups were compared. The modified multiple ligase detection reaction technique was used to analyze the polymorphism of TRPC3 gene, and the genotype and allele frequencies of were compared. The Logistic regression model was used to analyze the correlation between the polymorphism of TRPC3 gene and endometrial polyps. Results Finally,a total of 40 pairs of patients in the two groups were successfully matched. The insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),total cholesterol(TC),GG genotype frequency and allele G frequency of rs10518289 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the progesterone receptor(PR)level was significantly lower than that in the control group(all P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that GC type(OR =3.12,P =0.09)and GG type(OR =3.64,P =0.02)of TRPC3 gene rs10518289 were independent risk factors for endometrial polyps, and allele G was an independent risk factor for endometrial polyps(OR = 2.61,P = 0.004).There were significant differences in HOMA-IR,TC and PR levels among different genotypes of rs10518289(all P<0.05).The HOMA-IR and TC in the CC group were significantly lower than those in the CG and GG groups, while the PR level was significantly higher than that in the CG and GG groups(all P<0.05).Conclusion TRPC3 gene rs10518289 C to G mutation is associated with endometrial polyps.
