Application of FOCUS-PDCA cycle in case closure management of"cervical cancer and breast cancer"primary screening positive women
Objective To explore the application effect of FOCUS-PDCA cycle in the case closure management of women of appropriate age with"cervical cancer and breast cancer"screening positive in Dongguan city.Methods The FOCUS-PDCA cycle method was used to analyze the reasons for the low case closure management rate of the"cervical cancer and breast cance"screening positive women in Dongguan city.Three counter measures were formulated to improve the case closing management rate:"Increasing the system's case closing judgment function""Conduct training for project implementer"and"Developing export function for quality control".The effect of FOCUS-PDCA cycle was evaluated by comparing the case closure management rate before and after the implementation,target achievement rate and comprehensive ability score of members.Results The case closure management rate of"cervical cancer and breast cance"positive patients after FOCUS-PDCA implementation(85.38%)was higher than the case closure management rate before FOCUS-PDCA implementation(50.70%),and the differerre was statistically significant(χ2 =122.143,P<0.001).The target compliance rate of this improvement is103.27%,and the progress rate is 68.40%;after the implementation of FOCUS-PDCA,the circle members'sense of responsibility,team spirit,communication ability,responsibility and honor,communication problem ability,quality control techniques have been significantly improved.Conclusions The application of FOCUS-PDCA cycle in the case closure management of"cervical cancer and breast cancer"screening patients with positive initial screening can effectively improve the case closure management rate of positive initial screening patients,and improve the comprehensive ability of circle members significantly.
