Effect of chronic endometritis on pregnancy rates after treatment with hydrosalpinx
Objective To investigate the correlation between chronic endometritis and hydrosalpinx, and its effect on the natural pregnancy rate after hydrosalpinx treatment. Methods A total of 112 women with hydrosalpinx in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from June 2015 to December 2019 were included in group A,and 112 women without hydrosalpinx were included in group B.The condition of the fallopian tubes was confirmed by laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy was performed at the same time, and the endometrium was taken for CD138 testing to determine the prevalence of endometritis.Group A patients underwent laparoscopic treatment, and their natural pregnancy rate was followed up within one year after successful treatment. Results The positive rate of immunohistochemical staining of plasma CD138 in group A was higher than that in group B(38.39%vs.11.60%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of endometrial hyperemia, endometrial micropolyps and their coexistence between the two groups(P>0.05).The natural pregnancy rate of group A was 35.71%within one year, including 16.27%for those with hydrosalpinx and chronic endometritis, and 47.82%for those with hydrosalpinx alone, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Chronic endometritis may be related to hydrosalpinx and the rate of natural pregnancy after successful treatment.Female patients suspected of having hydrosalpinx should undergo prompt endometrial examination.
