Analysis of women papillomavirus infection in 2 237 women in Wuzhou area
Objective To analyze the infection rate,subtype distribution and age distribution characteristics of human papillomavirus(HPV)in women in Wuzhou area.Methods A total of 2 237 female cervical secretions were collected from the Outpatient Department of Wuzhou Workers'Hospital from July 2019 to July 2022 by random sampling.Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-reverse hybridization was used to detect HPV genotyping,and the HPV infection rate and subtype distribution were analyzed.All the subjects were divided into 10 age groups,the HPV infection of women in different age groups was analyzed.SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results ① The HPV infection rate of women aged 16~82 years in Wuzhou City was 34.3%.② The distribution characteristics of HPV infection subtypes:the top five subtypes in the overall infection rate from high to low were HPV-52(29.6%),HPV-16(15.1%),HPV-58(14.2%),HPV-51(9.6%)and HPV-53(9.6%);the main infection rate were single infection(76.2%)and double infection(17.3%).③ The age distribution characteristics of HPV infection:there were significant differences in HPV infection rates among different age groups(x2=24.53,P=0.004),among them,the infection rate of≥61 years old group was the highest(44.7%),followed by 21~25 years old group(44.4%),and then ≤20 years old group(41.2%);The lowest infection rate was 41~45 years old(25.6%),and the infection rate of the other age groups was relatively balanced,about 34.0%.Conclusion HPV infection in women in Wuzhou area is dominated by 52,16 and 58 subtypes,and there are differences in HPV infection among women of different ages,suggesting that more efforts should be made to screen women under the age of 25 and over the age of 60.
