The value of ultrasound GI-RADS grading and tumor markers in differentiating benign and malignant ovarian tumors in children
Objective Exploring the application value of the Ultrasound Imaging Reporting and Data System(GI-RADS)grading and tumor markers in the differentiation of benign and malignant ovarian tumors in children. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of pediatric ovarian tumor patients treated at Affiliated Hospital of Yan'an University from January 2019 to October 2022.Compared the levels of tumor markers and ultrasound imaging features of benign and malignant tumors, and drew ROC curves to analyze the effectiveness of various diagnostic methods. Results The diameter of the malignant group tumor was larger than that of the benign group, the resistance index was lower than that of the benign group, and the peak blood flow velocity, height of the large papillary process, and wall thickness were higher than those of the benign group. The tumor was mainly solid, with blood flow signals of Ⅱ~Ⅲgrade, single and wide base, and there was ascites and central blood flow(P<0.05).The CA199(82.61±9.14)KU/L and CA125(69.42±6.15)KU/L in the malignant group were higher than those in the benign group(P<0.05).The accuracy of ultrasound GI-RADS grading diagnosis was 84.67%,the accuracy of CA199 diagnosis was 74.00%,the accuracy of CA125 diagnosis was 76.00%,and the accuracy of combined diagnosis was 96.00%.Meanwhile,according to ROC curve analysis, the AUC for the combined diagnosis of benign and malignant ovarian tumors using ultrasound GI-RADS grading,CA199,and CA125 were 0.832,0.690,0.677,and 0.939,respectively.Conclusion Combining ultrasound GI-RADS grading and tumor markers can improve diagnostic accuracy in distinguishing benign and malignant ovarian tumors in children.
