Clinical study of biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with acupoint tuina in treating postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction
Objective To investigate the effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with acupoint tuina on pelvic floor muscle strength and pelvic floor function in patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction(PFD).Methods A total of 160 postpartum PFD patients in Jianyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with biofeedback electrical stimulation, while the observation group was treated with acupoint tuina on the basis of the control group, the clinical efficacy was evaluated after 8 weeks of treatment. The pelvic floor muscle strength of the patients was evaluated by biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy instrument before and after treatment. The Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Questionnaire-20(PFDI-20),Pelvic Floor Impact Questionnaire-7(PFIQ-7),Pelvic Instrument Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Function Questionnaire-12(PISQ-12),and Pelvic Instrument Prolapse Quantitative Staging(POP-Q)were used to assess the patients'pelvic floor function, sexual function, and pelvic organ prolapse. Results After 8 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the control group(67.50%)was significantly lower than that of the observation group(81.25%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the fast muscle RMS,integrated muscle RMS and slow muscle RMS,and PISQ-12 scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, while the PFDI-20 scores and PFIQ-7 scores were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the degree of improvement of the POP-Q in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of acupoint tuina and biofeedback electrical stimulation in the treatment of postpartum PFD can effectively improve pelvic floor muscle strength and promote the recovery of pelvic floor function, which is worthy of clinical application.
