Effect of individualized safety bladder capacity-guided limited hot and cold bladder irrigation combined with intermittent urethral catheterization on bladder function rehabilitation in patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury
Objective To investigate the effect of individualized safety bladder capacity-guided limited hot and cold bladder irrigation combined with intermittent urethral catheterization on bladder function rehabilitation in patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury.Methods A total of 64 patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury were selected as the study subjects and were randomly divided into a study group or a control group,with 32 cases in each group.The control group underwent individualized safety bladder capacity-guided intermittent urethral catheterization,based on which the study group underwent individualized safety bladder capacity-guided limited hot and cold bladder irrigation,and both groups were intervened for 4 weeks.The incidence of urinary tract infection,safety bladder capacity,residual urine volume,single urination volume,and number of urinary incontinence were compared between the two groups.Results After 4 weeks of intervention,the incidence of urinary tract infection,residual urine volume,and number of urinary incontinence in the study group were lower than those in the control group;the safe bladder capacity and single urination volume in the study group were higher than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Individualized safety bladder capacity-guided limited hot and cold bladder irrigation combined with intermittent urethral catheterization can enhance safety bladder capacity,increase single urination volume,and reduce urinary tract infection,residual urine volume,and the number of urinary incontinence in patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury.
