CT lymphangiography and chest non-contrast CT for diagnosis of chyloptysis
Objective To observe the value of CT lymphangiography(CTL)followed direct lymphangiography(DLG)and chest non-contrast CT for diagnosis of celiac chyloptysis sputum. Methods CTL and chest non-contrast CT data of 17 chyloptysis patients were retrospectively analyzed, lymphatic vessel abnormalities and other chest abnormal manifestations were observed. Results Abnormal deposits of lipiodol on CTL were noticed in all 17 cases, distributed in different parts of the cervical root, mediastinal region, thoracic cavity and chest wall, most often in the jugular venous angle regions.Reflux of lipiodol were found in the lungs in few cases, while dilatation of lymphatic ducts were observed in some cases.Chest non-contrast CT showed multiple abnormalities, including intrapulmonary, pleura, mediastinum and pericardium abnormalities, and bronchial vascular bundles was the most common one. Conclusion CTL was valuable for diagnosis of chyloptysis.Chest non-contrast CT could display lung and other chest structure abnormalities of chyloptysis patients.
