Correlation Analysis Between Total Monthly Medical Waste and Different Categories of Daily Medical Waste Per Bed
A linear regression equation is constructed with the total monthly medical waste as the dependent variable and the daily medical waste per bed based on the actual total number of open beds, the actual total number of occupied beds, and the total number of beds occupied by discharged patients as the independent variables.Statistical analysis is conducted on the factors affecting the total monthly medical waste, with P<0.05 indicating statistical significance. The results show that the daily medical waste per bed based on the actual total number of open beds has a statistically significant impact on the total monthly medical waste(b=13.734,t=17.688,P<0.001),while the daily medical waste per bed based on the actual total number of occupied beds and the total number of beds occupied by discharged patients does not have a statistically significant impact on the total monthly medical waste(b=—0.563,t=—0.612,P=0.544;b=—0.477,t=—0.798,P=0.430).The daily medical waste per bed based on the actual total number of open beds can more objectively reflect the monthly generation of medical waste and can serve as a dynamic and precise indicator for evaluating the medical waste management capability.
