Study on Functional Transformation and Design Strategy of"Dual Use for Emergency and Peace"Public Health Reserve Space in Super and Mega Cities——Taking"Sunshine Town"Project in Tongzhou District,Beijing as an Example
Currently China is undergoing a period of social and economic transformation and reform. The vulnerability and complexity of super and mega cities have significantly hindered their safe development.Planning and constructing"dual use for emergency and peace"strategic reserve space is an effective method to enhance urban disaster prevention capabilities and improve urban resilience.Taking the dual-use project of"Sunshine Town"in Tongzhou District,Beijing as a case study, this research systematically examines the operational conditions of the reserve space during normal use, medical observation, disaster housing, political service. It analyzes and studies the key transformation designs implemented and summarizes the design strategy for"dual-use"reserve spaces. This not only enhances and enriches the concept of emergency architectural design but also provides reference for other similar projects, thereby contributing to improving China's super and mega cities'abilities in disaster prevention, resistance, reduction and restoration.
