A Survey of the Mobile DR Application Radiation Dose In Newborn Bedside Radiography and Awareness of Infection Control Policies
A total of 239 medical technical nurses from the departments of radiology and neonatology of 53 hospitals in 12 coastal provinces of China were selected from November 20 to December 5,2023,and investigated by using the questionnaire star questionnaire.The survey content was the cognition of radiation technicians and newborn medical staff on the use of mobile DR in newborn bedside photography and infection control policies.200(83.6%)medical technicians and nurses thought that improper operation may cause hospital infection in the process of newborn bedside photography.A total of 209(87.4%)medical technicians and nurses were concerned about the potential impact of radiation dose from bedside imaging on the health of newborns.The use of mobile DR should be standardized in the process of newborn bedside radiography.Radiation technicians should carefully select the exposure parameters to reduce the radiation dose to newborn.Aseptic operation was performed in the imaging process to reduce the risk of newborn nosocomial infection.
