Analysis of the Construction of Community Elderly Care Service Facilities in China and Reference from International Experience
There are issues with the construction of community elderly care facilities in China, such as the imbalance of service supply and demand, improper spatial configuration, and unsustainable operation, which seriously affect their practical effectiveness. This article starts from the planning and construction process of community elderly care facilities, analyzes the contradictions that may be encountered in different construction stages, explores the reasons for the current situation, and then combines international experience to propose corresponding improvement suggestions. The study finds that the construction content is not clear in the preliminary planning stage, the relevant standards are not perfect in the schematic design stage, and the building hardware is not compatible with the operational services in the service introduction stage, all of which are reasons for the current situation.Internationally, reference experiences include:constructing a community elderly care facility system oriented by the needs of the elderly;adopting a standard structure that combines mandatory regulations and recommended guidelines;fully considering operational service needs in the planning and construction stage.
