Exploration and practice of online teaching mode for midwifery major in higher vocational colleges
Objective To explore the teaching effectiveness of online teaching modes for midwifery major in higher vocational colleges.Methods A total of 60 students majoring in midwifery at Yuncheng Vocational Nursing College were selected as the research subjects from September to December 2022.All students were divided into a practice group and a control group according to the random number table method,each group of 30 cases.The control group received traditional teaching methods,while the practice group received an online teaching mode based on traditional teaching methods.The final exam scores,operational skills,emergency response ability,observation ability scores,teaching method satisfaction scores,and teaching effectiveness were compared between the two groups.Results Theory scores,case analysis scores,and overall scores of the practice group were higher compared with the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The operational skills,emergency response ability,observation ability,and total score of the practice group were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The teaching method satisfaction scores in the practice group was higher compared with the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of all dimensions of knowledge internalization and knowledge externalization in the practice group were higher compared with the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The online teaching mode for midwifery major in higher vocational colleges can significantly improve students'academic performance,operational skills,emergency response ability,and observation ability,with a high level of teaching satisfaction.
