Clinical study on the treatment of insomnia patients with a deficiency of heart and spleen by ear scraping combined with auricular point pressing with beans guided by meridian detection
Objective To explore the clinical effect of the treatment of insomnia patients with a deficiency of heart and spleen by ear scraping combined with auricular point pressing with beans guided by meridian detection. Methods A total of 84 insomnia patients with a deficiency of heart and spleen who visited the Preventive Treatment Center,Guangzhou Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine from November 2021 to November 2022 were divided into an observation group(n=43)and a control group(n=41)using stratified random sampling method. The Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),traditional Chinese medicine meridian detection value, score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total PSQI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The percentage of the number of people with meridian abnormalities in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of ear scraping combined with auricular point pressing with beans is effective in improving patients'sleep quality, abnormal meridians, and traditional Chinese medicine symptoms,as well as improving clinical efficacy.
