A meta-analysis of the efficacy and safety of Tongtian Oral Solution in the treatment of cerebral infarction
Objective To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tongtian Oral Solution in the treatment of cerebral infarction.Methods A comprehensive search was conducted on databases such as China national knowlwdge internet,Wanfang,and VIP to search for clinical studies on the treatment of cerebral infarction with Tongtian Oral Solution.Only randomized controlled trial(RCT)were included.The search duration was from the establishment of the database to April 2023.Two researchers independently completed literature screening,data extraction,and bias risk assessment.The meta-analysis was completed using RevMan 5.3 software.Results A total of 9 RCTs were included,including 1148 patients.The meta-analysis results showed that the overall effective rate of Tongtian Oral Solution in treating cerebral infarction was higher than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(OR=2.18,95％CI:1.53-3.12,P<0.0001),and the National Institute of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)score was lower than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(MD=-1.63,95％CI:-2.20--1.07,P<0.000 01).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the Tongtian Oral Solution group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Evidence-based medical analysis shows that Tongtian Oral Solution is effective and safe in treating cerebral infarction.
