Effect of SFBC combined with TOT on limb function rehabilitation and ADL ability in patients with hemiplegia after acute stroke
Objective To explore the effect of solution-focused brief counseling(SFBC)combined with task-oriented training(TOT)on limb function rehabilitation and activities of daily living(ADL)ability of patients with hemiplegia after acute stroke. Methods A total of 101 patients with hemiplegia after acute stroke admitted to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Qianjiang Central Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into an observation group(51 cases)and a control group(50 cases)by the random number table method. The control group received the routine TOT training method, while the observation group received SFBC combined with the TOT training method. The psychological status(by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale[SAS]and Self-Rating Depression Scale[SDS]),Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),and Barthel Index(BI)of the two groups of patients were compared. Results There were no differences in psychological status,FMA score, and BI score between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).SAS and SDS scores of the observation group after 2 months of intervention were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),while upper limb motor function(FMA-UE),lower limb motor function(FMA-LE),and BI score were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The rehabilitation treatment training of SFBC combined with TOT can improve the psychological status of patients with hemiplegia after acute stroke, and enhance their limb rehabilitation function as well as ADL ability.
