Research progress on CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay and resin composite ceramic onlay restoration for posterior tooth defects
Computer-aided design and manufacturing(CAD/CAM)systems have gradually been widely used in the restoration of posterior tooth defects due to their advantages of high efficiency and accuracy.By studying the application of CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay and resin composite ceramic onlay in the restoration of posterior tooth defects, the materials, clinical applications related to posterior tooth treatment, key points needing attention during application, and differences in application effects of the two methods were compared to provide a basis for clinical selection in the treatment of posterior tooth defects. This article summarizes and analyzes the new progress in the treatment of posterior tooth defects by studying the CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay and resin composite ceramic onlay restoration both domestically and internationally. The popularization of CAD/CAM technology in clinical applications is beneficial for enhancing the core competitiveness of hospitals in the field of oral medicine, and high-quality dental restoration is beneficial for improving the oral health of the public and saving social medical resources.
