Study on the application of traditional exercise therapy based on the best evidence in patients in stable phase of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To explore the application effect of traditional exercise therapy based on the best evidence in patients in stable stage of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Through a pilot study,a total of 96 patients in stable stage of COPD who visited the People's Hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the intervention objects. The observation group received traditional exercise therapy based on best evidence, while the control group received routine lung rehabilitation nursing measures. The lung function,6-minute walk test(6MWT),and COPD assessent test(CAT)scores of the two groups of patients were compared. Results After 3 months of intervention, forced expiratory volume inone second(FEV1)/forced vital capacity(FVC)and 6MWT in both groups were significantly higher than those before intervention, and FEV1/FVC and 6MWT in the observation group was higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the CAT scores of patients in the two groups were significantly lower than those before intervention, and CAT score in the observation group was better than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional exercise therapy based on the best evidence can obviously improve the lung function and exercise endurance of patients in stable stage of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and improve their quality of life.
