Bibliometric analysis and clinical practice of therapeutic drug monitoring
Objective To analyze the hotspots and trends in the field of therapeutic drug monitoring both domestically and internationally using bibliometric methods, and to conduct a retrospective analysis of the monitoring of therapeutic drugs conducted by Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University(Xiamen Branch)(our hospital)in 2022,to provide a reference for promoting rational drug use in clinical practice. Methods Based on the Web of Science core database and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),CiteSpace software was used to conduct keyword co-occurrence and aggregation analysis on research in the field of therapeutic drug monitoring from 2019 to 2023.Results After the screening,1301 English articles and 330 Chinese articles were included for bibliometric analysis. The high-frequency keywords in domestic and international researches include drugs for therapeutic drug monitoring and analysis methods. In 2022,our hospital conducted a total of 864 drug concentration tests. The top three drugs monitored were tacrolimus(37.27%),rapamycin(18.17%),and vancomycin(14.35%).The therapeutic drug concentration of tacrolimus was found to be within the effective concentration range, with the highest proportion being 90.06%,followed by 85.35%of rapamycin and 85.00%of digoxin. Conclusion Currently, research on therapeutic drug monitoring mainly focuses on the rational drug use of vancomycin, digoxin, and antiepileptic drugs. Our hospital has established a therapeutic drug monitoring platform for clinical pharmacists to participate in report interpretation, and more attention should be paid to the monitoring of antipsychotic drugs and anti-tumor drugs.
