Evaluation of the effectiveness of remote pharmaceutical services for young and middle-aged hypertensive patients in outpatient clinics
Objective To establish a preliminary remote pharmaceutical service model for young and middle-aged hypertensive patients in outpatient clinics and evaluate the implementation effect.Methods A total of 200 young and middle-aged hypertensive patients who visited the Outpatient Department of Guilin People's Hospital from July 2021 to October 2022 were selected and divided into two groups using a random number table method.The control group received routine medication guidance.The study group,on the basis of conventional medication guidance,received pharmaceutical services by remote communication and information technology,such as hypertension-related knowledge training,medication education,medication consultation,medication monitoring,and pharmaceutical science popularization.The study period was 6 months.Patients'blood pressure improvement,awareness of hypertension knowledge,medication compliance,and satisfaction were evaluated as indicators.Results After implementing remote pharmaceutical services,the improvement of blood pressure,awareness of hypertension knowledge,medication compliance,and satisfaction in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing remote pharmaceutical services can improve patients'understanding of the disease,treatment effectiveness,medication compliance,and satisfaction.Therefore,remote pharmaceutical services are worth promoting and applying.
