Objective To investigate the awareness of geriatric medical knowledge among elderly care nurses in local elderly care institutions with the combination of medical treatment and care and the influencing factors,to provide a theoretical reference for the cultivation of elderly care service talents.Methods A random cluster sampling method was used to select 290 elderly care nurses from 36 elderly care institutions with the combination of medical treatment and care in Weifang from December 2022 to February 2023.The elderly care nurses in elderly care institutions with the combination of medical treatment and care were investigated with a questionnaire on their awareness of geriatric medical knowledge.Results The average score of elderly care nurses'awareness of geriatric medical knowledge in elderly care institutions with the combination of medical treatment and care in Weifang was(2.81±0.52).The results of multivariate linear regression analysis showed that marital status,education level,certificate level of elderly care nurses,and whether they had received training had a significant impact on elderly care nurses'awareness of geriatric medical knowledge(P<0.05).Conclusion The overall awareness of geriatric medical knowledge of elderly care nurses in elderly care institutions with the combination of medical treatment and care in Weifang is not optimistic,and it is urgent to strengthen relevant training for further improvement.
