Objective To explore the application and related influencing factors of the student evaluation questionnaire for teaching effectiveness of university teachers(SEEQ)in the evaluation of teaching effect of nosocomiology. Methods After the course was completed in January 2020,a survey was conducted on 418 clinical medical students majoring in nosocomiology at Wannan Medical College using a SEEQ questionnaire for students'evaluations of educational quality. The scores of students'gender, class time, and whether to take the postgraduate entrance examination were compared in all dimensions of the questionnaire.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the scores of each dimension of the questionnaire and students'cognition of the course. Results The teaching staff of nosocomiology at this medical college had done well in terms of teacher-student interaction, workload and difficulty, learning value, and teacher knowledge breadth. However, there was still room for improvement in teacher-student interpersonal relationships and teaching management. The differences in all dimensions of evaluations of educational quality were compared among students with different class hours, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Students who attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday have higher scores than those who attend classes on Monday, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The more students recognize the course offered, the more positive it will be for their future career assistance, and the higher the scores in all dimensions of the SEEQ questionnaire(P<0.05).Conclusion The teaching staff of nosocomiology can carry out targeted teaching reforms based on the characteristics of different students,to enhance the vividness of the course and improve educational quality.
