Exploration of the mechanism of action of Pingyang Yixin Decoction in the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction based on network pharmacology
Objective To predict the potential targets and pathways of Pingyang Yixin Decoction in the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF)based on network pharmacology methods.Methods Based on the HERB database and the SwissTarget Prediction data platform,the component targets of Pingyang Yixin Decoction were predicted.HFpEF targets were obtained through the OMIM database,PhamGKB database,and GeneCards database.Venny 2.1.0 was used to select the intersection of drug and disease targets,and Cytoscape was used to construct a"component-disease target"network for protein-protein interaction network(PPI).The core target of Pingyang Yixin Decoction for treating HFpEF was obtained through network topology analysis,and the core target was used for gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)through the Metascape database.Results Through the method of network pharmacology,524 potential targets were identified for the treatment of HFpEF with Pingyang Yixin Decoction,which mainly participated in biological processes such as cell response to nitrogen compounds,regulation of systemic processes,positive regulation of circulatory processes and phosphorylation.It was involved in regulating 235 pathways including cancer-related pathways,cGMP PKG signaling pathway,cAMP signaling pathway,lipid,and atherosclerosis.Conclusion Pingyang Yixin Decoction can participate in cell apoptosis and proliferation through multiple components,targets,and pathways,thus achieving the goal of treating HFpEF.
