Progress in nutrition-related research on sarcopenia from 2012 to 2022 and visual analysis of international hotspots
Objective To study the current status, hotspots, and evolution trends of nutrition-related research on sarcopenia both domestically and internationally from 2012 to 2022.Methods Research literature on nutrition related to sarcopenia was retrieved in the core sets of China national knowledge infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WoS)databases, with the retrieval duration from 2012 to 2022.CiteSpace and the wosviewer software were used to conduct co-occurrence analysis on authors, countries, institutions, and keywords. The clustering analysis, time evolution analysis, and Burst analysis were conducted on keywords, and the corresponding knowledge graphs were drawn. Results A total of 484 articles were obtained through CNKI retrieving, with Bao Yihong being a high-yield author and the College of Forestry of Northeast Forestry University having the highest number of published articles.A total of 2503 articles were obtained through WoS retrieving, with Wakabayashi Hidetaka being a high-yield author and the Yonsei Univ and Monash Univ having the highest number of published articles and highest centrality, respectively. In addition, the United States had the highest number of national publications and centrality. In recent years, research hotspots both domestically and internationally had mainly focused on the nutritional aspects of sarcopenia combined with other diseases. Conclusion Overall,it is speculated that future research hotspots may focus on clinical nutritional guidance research and the establishment of relevant standards for sarcopenia combined with other diseases.
