Effect of Qizhu Shihu Yangwei Formula on traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and gastrointestinal function in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis
Objective To explore the effects of Qizhu Shihu Yangwei Formula on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes and gastrointestinal function in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis.Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis treated at Changsha Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to December 2022 were selected.They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 50 patients in each group.The control group was treated with Weifuquan Tablets,while the observation group received Weifuquan Tablets combined with Qizhu Shihu Yangwei Formula.The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores,gastric function,stress response,levels of inflammatory factors,and adverse reactions of two groups were compared.Results The clinical treatment rate in the observation group was 94.00％,significantly higher than 68.00％in the control group(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of epigastric pain,anorexia,acid regurgitation,fatigue,and anemia(P＞0.05).After treatment,these symptoms were reduced in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of motilin(MTL)and gastrin(GAS)between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,MTL decreased in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group,GAS increased in both groups,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in superoxide dismutase(SOD),nitric oxide(NO),C-reactive protein(CRP),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,SOD and NO levels increased,while CRP and TNF-α levels decreased in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).No adverse reactions were observed in either group.Conclusion The combination of Qizhu Shihu Yangwei Formula with Weifuquan Tablets in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis effectively improves therapeutic outcomes,enhances gastric function,reduces stress responses and inflammatory factor levels,and is highly safe.
