Clinical effect of Haitongpi Decoction fumigation and washing on type Ⅱ painful accessory navicular bone
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Haitongpi Decoction fumigation and washing on type Ⅱ painful accessory navicular bone by randomized controlled trials. Methods A total of 252 type Ⅱ PAN patients admitted to the Foot and Ankle Joint,Orthopedics Department of the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to December 2022 were randomly divided into two groups:an experimental group of 126 patients and a control group of 126 patients. The control group only received routine anti-inflammatory and analgesic measures, while the experimental group was treated with the combination of fumigation and washing with Haitongpi Decoction. The numerical rating scale(NRS)score,American orthopaedic foot and ankle society score(AOFAS),Maryland foot score after one week of treatment, and follow-up surgery rate after 6 months of the two groups were compared. Results After one week of treatment, the effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(92.06%>80.16%).Follow-up surgery rate after 6 months of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group(6.35%<17.46%).The NRS score, swelling score,AOFAS score, and Maryland foot score of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Adverse reactions occurred in two groups There was no significant difference in the birth rate(4.76%vs.3.17%)(P>0.05).Conclusion Haitongpi Decoction has a therapeutic effect on type Ⅱ PAN,which indicates a clinical significance for promotion.
