The effect of narrative nursing combined with the five-tone therapy on the demoralization syndrome and the quality of life in cancer patients
Objective To explore the effect of narrative nursing combined with five tone therapy on the symptoms of aspiration deficiency syndrome and quality of life in cancer patients.Methods A total of 100 cancer patients admitted to Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2021 to November 2022 were selected for the study.They were divided into a control group(50 cases)with routine nursing care in the oncology department,and an observation group(50 cases)with narrative nursing combined with five tone therapy by random number table method.Negative emotions,lack of morale,quality of life,and satisfaction were compared.Results After intervention,the self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores of both groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The demoralization scores of both groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The difference in quality of life scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion For cancer patients,the combination of timing narrative nursing and five tone therapy can improve their mentality and quality of life.
