Evaluation of the management effect of the PDCA home-based pharmaceutical service model on hypertension patients of the Bai ethnic group in Dali
Objective To evaluate the management effect of the PDCA home pharmacy service model on hypertensive patients of the Bai ethnic group in Dali.Methods A total of 106 patients with primary hypertension of the Bai ethnic group who received outpatient and inpatient treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from January to June 2020 were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group,with 53 cases in each group.The control group received routine pharmaceutical services.The intervention group received home pharmaceutical services using the PDCA method.Observe the quality of life,blood pressure control,medication adherence,and adverse drug reactions of two groups of patients before and after intervention.Results After home pharmaceutical care intervention,the quality of life assessment,blood pressure control and medication compliance rate of the intervention group were better than those of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse drug reactions in control group was significantly higher than that in intervention group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of PDCA method for home pharmacy service intervention can significantly improve the quality of life and medication compliance of Bai ethnic hypertensive patients,better control blood pressure,and reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.
