A survey and analysis of knowledge,attitude,and practice of oral health,and educational attitudes among middle school teachers in Liupanshui City
Objective To understand the mastery of oral health knowledge,oral health practice,and attitudes toward oral health education among middle school teachers in Liupanshui City,so as to provide a reference for the development and implementation of oral health education plans for middle school teachers in the future.Methods Using a simple random sampling method,280 middle school teachers from 4 high schools in Liupanshui City were selected as the research subjects in March 2023.The habits of oral healthcare practice,knowledge rate of oral health knowledge,and attitudes towards oral health and oral health education of middle school teachers in Liupanshui City were investigated.Results A total of 276 effective questionnaires were collected,and the data showed that the knowledge rate of oral health knowledge and the rate of appropriate practice of the teacher group was 63.71 and 26.33%,respectively.The vast majority of teachers held a positive attitude towards oral health and health education.Statistical analysis showed that teachers who received oral health education had better oral healthcare habits and knowledge rates of oral health knowledge than those who did not receive oral health education,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Knowledge,attitude,and practice of oral health of middle school teachers are not unified,so it is necessary to strengthen oral health education for this group.
