Diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D)is a common chronic functional intestinal lesion in clinical practice,with diarrhea as the main symptom.It is characterized by recurrent attacks,a long course of disease,no organic lesions,and prominent psychological factors.It belongs to the categories of"diarrhea"and"abdominal pain"in traditional Chinese medicine.The"Essential Readings for Medical Professionals"states that"no dampness,no diarrhea",indicating that the main pathological factor of this disease is dampness and turbidity.Therefore,the basic method of treating this disease is to dissolve dampness.Research has shown that the disorder of intestinal microflora is an important feature of the occurrence and development of IBS-D,and Chinese herbal medicine and compound prescriptions for dissolving dampness can help restore the balance and homeostasis of intestinal microflora.Based on the pathological core of"no dampness,no diarrhea",this article explores the traditional Chinese medicine pathogenesis of the treatment of IBS-D by regulating intestinal microflora through the dampness-resolving method,which provides a theoretical reference for the research and clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine intervention in IBS-D.
