Experience of the famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor Hu Bin in tongue diagnosis of spleen and stomach diseases
Tongue diagnosis is the most important component of traditional Chinese medicine inspection.The controlling of the nature of symptoms in the syndrome differentiation process,especially for determining the nature of cold,heat,deficiency,and excess,has important guiding significance.In addition,through the different reflex areas of the five viscera and six bowels in the tongue,tongue diagnosis also plays an important role in locating diseases.Professor Hu Bin attaches great importance to the application of tongue diagnosis in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.He believes that tongue diagnosis is one of the important characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis,and tongue image is an important basis for clinical diagnosis,syndrome differentiation,judgment of the severity of the condition,and prognosis.In clinical practice,changes in tongue image combined with changes in clinical symptoms are often used to guide the addition or subtraction of drugs,thus achieving the effect of"knowing by sight".This article conducts a statistical analysis of the medical records of professor Hu Bin's 200 patients with spleen and stomach diseases,exploring chronic gastritis and chronic diarrhea,the most common clinical diseases in the Department of Spleen and Stomach Diseases.Through the diagnosis of tongue images,the attributes of the disease are identified.Based on the basic formula,drugs tonifying qi and spleen,warming the middle,and clearing heat are added along with the syndrome.When the patient's tongue images tend to be normal,the disease recovers.
