Diabetes and its complications have caused huge economic losses worldwide.Therefore,improving patients'self-management ability is the key to improving patients'health outcomes.Facing the current situation of severe aging,immature informatization technology of blood glucose management,and the slow pace of informatization technology updates in grass-roots hospitals in China,diabetes diaries came into being.Diabetes diaries can improve patients'self-management awareness,help patients establish healthy living habits,and also provide a basis for doctor-patient communication to help doctors develop personalized treatment plans.Therefore,this article reviews the definition and content of diabetes diaries,as well as the impact of diabetes diaries on patients to provide a clinical reference for the management of diabetes mellitus patients.
