Therapeutic effect of GnRHa combined with progesterone in the treatment of endometriosis
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa)combined with progesterone in the treatment of endometriosis. Methods A total of 2 1 2 patients with endometriosis admitted to Jiugang Hospital from February 2021 to March 2022 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with one group consisting of 106 patients treated with gestrinone as the control group, and another group consisting of 106 patients treated with goserelin acetate sustained-release implant in addition to gestrinone as the observation group. Both groups were treated for 3 months and followed up for 1 year. The various indicators between the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Compared with those before treatment, the serum levels of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),pituitary prolactin(PRL),estradiol(E2),tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α),and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)in the two groups after treatment were all reduced, and the serum levels of FSH,LH,PRL,E2,TNF-α,and MMP-9 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Compared with those before treatment, the levels of serum catalase(CAT)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in both groups increased after treatment, and the observation group had higher levels of serum CAT and SOD than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse pregnancies in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of GnRHa and progesterone therapy can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of patients with endometriosis, regulate sex hormone levels, alleviate inflammation and oxidative stress reactions, and improve pregnancy outcomes.
