Research progress of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4G1 and malignant tumor
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 1(eIF4G1)is a large scaffold protein, which can serve as a docking site for proteins during mRNA translation initiation of eukaryotes, and mediate cap-dependent and cap-independent translation initiation.eIF4G1 is an important target in translation regulation, which is considered to be involved in the growth, migration, proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of various tumor cells. In recent years, with the in-depth study of eIF4G1,we have a deeper understanding of its effects and functions. This article will summarize the relevant literature, and briefly summarize the function, research status and relationship with tumors of eIF4G1.
