Effect of applying the teaching mode of teacher standardized patient combined with objective structured clinical examination in standardized training of resident physicians
Objective To investigate the effect of applying the teaching mode of teacher standardized patient(TSP)combined with objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)in standardized training of resident physicians. Methods A total of 60 resident physicians who received standardized training in the Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected and divided into the control group(n=30)and the study group(n=30)according to the random drawing method. The conventional teaching mode was applied in the training process of the control group, while the TSP combined with OSCE teaching mode was applied in the training of the study group. The training effects, comprehensive abilities, and recognition of teaching mode in the two groups in standardized training of physicians were compared before and after training. Results After training, the theoretical and practical performances of the study group were both higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of mini-clinical evaluation exercise(Mini-CEX)and critical thinking disposition inventory-Chinese version(CTDI-CV)in the study group after training were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The recognition of the standardized training physicians in the study group with the teaching mode was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion TSP combined with OSCE teaching mode can effectively improve the performance and comprehensive ability in standardized training of resident physicians, and the standardized training resident physicians have a high degree of recognition of this teaching mode.
