Research progress on the anti-depression effect of exercise based on oxidative stress
Depression is a serious chronic recurrent mental illness that is the result of a combination of congenital and acquired factors, and the incidence of depression in adolescents is increasing year by year. Some patients with depression even exhibit suicidal tendencies, seriously affecting their physiological, psychological, and social functions. The pathogenesis of depression is not yet fully understood, but studies have shown that the occurrence and development of depression are related to the imbalance of the body's antioxidant defense system.By regulating oxidative stress-related signaling pathways through sports, the antioxidant function of the nervous system can be improved, thereby achieving the goal of antidepressants.Based on summarizing the relevant mechanisms of oxidative stress response in depression, this article summarizes the therapeutic effects of different exercise therapies in depression,to provide theoretical reference for the prevention and treatment of depression in future clinical practice.
