Application of standardized patients combined with PBL in orthopedic standardized training and teaching
Objective To observe the effect of standardized patient(SP)combined with problem-based learning(PBL)in orthopedic standardized training and teaching.Methods According to the different teaching methods,67 regulated trainee received teaching in the Department of Orthopedics of the Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical University from August 2022 to July 2023 were divided into two groups.The control group(33 regulated trainee)received routine teaching,while the observation group(34 medical interns)received SP+PBL teaching.The after-department score,teaching effect and satisfaction of the two groups were compared upon completion of the four-week internship.Results After the examination,the total after-department score higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The teaching effect of the observation group was obviously better than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the observation group(94.12%)was higher than that of the control group(72.73%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of SP and PBL can significantly improve the total after-department score of regulated trainee in orthopedic standardized training and teaching,which is helpful to improve the teaching effect and satisfaction.
