Correlation between lymph node metastasis and disease progression and Tspan-1 expression level in patients with gastric cancer
Objective To observe the correlation between lymph node metastasis and disease progression and expression level of recombinant tetraspanin 1(Tspan-1)in patients with gastric cancer,so as to provide reference value for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 150 patients with gastric cancer who underwent radical gastrectomy in the First Hospital of Putian City from January 2018 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the lymph node metastasis(LN)group(n=120 cases)and the no lymph node metastasis(NLN)group(n=30 cases)according to the pathological conditions after operation. The general data of the two groups were collected by questionnaire method, and logistic multivariate analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were used to evaluate the related risk factors and correlation of lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer after radical gastrectomy. Results There were 120 patients with lymph node metastasis in the 150 patients.According to the investigation, the incidence of serious disease progression in the LN group was higher than that in the NLN group(P<0.05).General data of the two groups were compared. The depth of tumor invasion, whether there was ulcer, tumor diameter, tumor type and age in the NLN group were significantly different from those in the LN group(P<0.05).The expression level of Tspan-1 protein in cancer tissues of both groups was lower than that in adjacent tissues, and the expression level of Tspan-1 protein in cancer tissues of LN group was higher than that of NLN group(P<0.05).logistic regression analysis showed that undifferentiated tumor type, depth of tumor invasion to serosal layer, presence of ulcer and high expression of Tspan-1 were independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer patients(P<0.05).Moreover,Pearson correlation analysis showed that lymph node metastasis and disease progression were positively correlated with the expression level of Tspan-1,respectively(r>0,P<0.05).Conclusion The high expression level of Tspan-1 is the main influencing factor of lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer after radical gastrectomy, and it is also highly related to the risk of disease progression after operation.
