Research on the correlation between visceral fat area and uric acid/high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio in physical examination people
Objective To investigate the correlation between visceral fat area(VFA)and uric acid(UA)/high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio(HDL-C)ratio(UHR)in physical examination people. Methods A total of 360 physical examination people admitted to Zaozhuang Municipal Hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were randomly selected, and they were divided into the visceral fat obesity group(n=172,VFA ≥ 100 cm2)and the control group(n=188,VFA<100 cm2)according to the VFA value. The general data and biochemical indicators were compared.Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between VFA and UHR,and multiple linear regression was used to analyze the UHR.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to evaluate the predictive value of UHR for visceral fat obesity. Results Compared with the control group, the visceral fat obesity group of body mass index(BMI),VFA,subcutaneous fat area(SFA),VFA/SFA(V/S),triglycerides(TG),triglyceride-glucose index(TyG),UA,and UHR levels increased, while HDL-C level decreased, all with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that UHR was positively correlated with BMI,VFA,SFA,V/S,TG and TyG(P<0.01).Taking UHR as the dependent variable,BMI,VFA,SFA,V/S,TG and TyG as the independent variables, multiple linear regression analysis showed that TG and VFA were the impacting factors of UHR.ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of UHR in predicting VFO was 0.741(P<0.001),and the best cutoff value was 0.35.Conclusion UHR in physical examination people is correlated to VFA,which has a good predictive value for visceral fat obesity.
