Comparative research on"frog position"and conventional surgical position of female patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy
Objective To compare the advantages and disadvantages of"frog position"and conventional surgical position(lithotomy position combined with prone position)of female patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Methods A total of 200 female patients who were diagnosed as upper urinary tract calculus in the Department of Urology in Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen University from February 2021 to February 2022 were reviewed. They were divided into the control group(n=100,conventional lithotomy position combined with prone position)and the observation group(n=100,"frog position")according to their surgical positions. The operation time, intraoperative hemorrhage volume, intraoperative vital signs(diastolic blood pressure[DBP],systolic blood pressure[SBP],heart rate[HR]),the high proportion of intraoperative postural comfort, postoperative pain score, stone clearance rate, postoperative complications and hospitalization time were observed in the two groups of patients. Results The observation group had shorter surgical time and hospital stay than the control group, and the intraoperative bleeding was less than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of DBP,SBP,and HR(P>0.05).The postoperative pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of high intraoperative position comfort in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The stone clearance rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy with"frog position",reducing intraoperative hemorrhage volume is beneficial to shorten the operation time and hospitalization time, relieve the degree of pain, further improve the safety of operation and the stone clearance rate, which is worthy of further clinical promotion.
